Programme progress packs
A period pack that sets planned activities against what has actually been built, photographed, and measured on site.
Who it is for
Main contractors, employers’ agents, and project managers who must explain progress to a client, QS, or funder without relying on a verbal site tour.
What you receive
A dated pack that shows which activities moved, which stalled, and how that sits against the accepted programme and the last agreed baseline.
Scope
One live construction project in the United Kingdom, covering a single reporting period (typically four weeks, or the period named in the contract).
Included
- A kick-off call to agree the accepted programme, cost codes to track, and the reporting date
- Review of the current programme, last progress update, and relevant RFIs, site instructions, and variation notices
- One site walkdown or a structured drawing-and-photo review if access is restricted
- Planned versus actual progress by activity, with a cumulative progress curve for the works in scope
- A short written variance note: what moved, what did not, and the evidence used
- Issue of a numbered PDF pack plus source tables for the period
Not included
- Acting as planner of record or rewriting the accepted programme
- Expert-witness statements or adjudication reports
- Software licences for planning or cost packages
- Quantity take-off for tendering
Who prepares it
Prepared by System Craftline’s programme analysts in Clephanton, with site attendance arranged through the contractor’s induction.
How a pack proceeds
- You send the accepted programme, last update, and a named contact on site.
- We confirm the reporting date, access, and which activities sit in this period’s pack.
- We walk the site or review photographs and marked drawings against the activity list.
- A draft pack goes back for factual comment from the project team.
- We issue the period pack for the client meeting or monthly report.
Time
Eight to twelve working days from receipt of a usable programme and photographs, provided the walkdown date holds.
Where we work
Site attendance across mainland United Kingdom, with document review from Friar Street. Remote-only packs are possible when a clerk of works or site engineer supplies dated photographs keyed to activities.
What to prepare
Please have the accepted programme (PDF or native file), last two progress updates, a list of open variations, and induction requirements ready before the kick-off call.
Limits
We do not certify valuations or sign sectional completion. Progress percentages follow the rules in the contract documents you supply; we will not invent a measurement method.
How we price it
Quoted per project and period. A first pack on a mid-size building job typically starts at £2,400 excluding VAT. Extra visits, night-shift attendance, or a full delay chronology are priced separately.
